WildPlots Mod

About

WildPlots mod is a Forge mod providing ability to claim own terrain on the world, protecting your buildings against griefing. It’s a totally survival-friendly mod, which provides 8 plot blocks with different sizes. If you install WildNature Mod, you will have 8 more plots (total 16).

First, you start with a Stone plot, which claims 5x5x256 blocks. It’s your terrain, nobody can break and place blocks, open chests and explode anything. However, your plot block can be broken by any player what will destroy the protection of other blocks! That’s why, you have to protect it.
When you will find iron, you can make Iron tier and upgrade your plot to a bigger version – Iron plot, and so on. Read more…

To give some chances to enemies, they can open chests, click buttons and open doors by using Clicker – super expensive tool which has only 15 uses and very long cooldown. That’s why you need to make piston doors openable via password – this will fully protect you base. Read more…

Mod provides also an Alarm block, which notifies you about some actions that take place on your plot. Read more…

Plot blocks

Plot block is a core of your plot. To create a plot, you need to place it in position you want. To get started, you need to craft Stone plot, place it, and right click on it. You’ll get chat message about plot creation.

Remember, anyone can break your plot block and you’ll lose your protection!

Plot isn’t fully protecting blocks against explosions – TNT can break: glass blocks, doors, trapdoors, beds and plot blocks. However, nobody can place TNT block on your plot, so it can be fired only from a cannon. It can be configured in config.

Players can open trapped chests on claimed terrain.

To view plot data, right click on plot block. It shows the same information what /plot info does.
To view plot boundaries, right click on plot block while sneaking. You’ll see particles floating on all corners of your plot. If your plot is larger than 50 blocks, border blocks will be placed on plot’s corners, and you’ll have to find them. They also emit own particles, so that will not be hard.

Tiers

Tiers are defining level of your plot. If tier is better, then your plot is bigger and more resistant.
First you need to craft Tier item, the base of all tiers:

Tier crafting recipe

two iron ingots, one flint, one iron weighted pressure plate, two smooth stones and three strings

If you have already Stone plot, only way you can upgrade it is to craft tier better than current by only one level (so for example if you have Stone, you need to craft Iron tier) and right click on a plot block. After that, your plot is upgraded!

Alarms

Alarms are blocks that can get notifications from plot and send redstone signal, or receive redstone signal and play alarm sound.
By clicking on alarm while sneaking, you trigger notify mode. By default, it is disabled. You’ll see current set mode by alarm texture.

Alarm crafting recipe

five redstone, one repeater, one note block, one tier and one iron ingot

Alarm playing sounds (notify = false)

When notify is turned off, alarm can make sounds when powered. You can also modulate alarm pitch like normal, vanilla noteblock, by clicking on it.
Place on those blocks to get certain sounds:

Alarm sound Block placed under alarm
rail_short any stone
rail_long bricks or stone bricks
clock any wood
bell any sand
siren_short glowstone
detector any wool
modern_medium quartz block, quartz pillar or chiseled quartz block
modern_long gold block
imperial obsidian or bedrock

Notification alarm (notify = true)

When notify is turned on, alarm gets notifications about actions that take place on plot’s terrain. Alarm has to be placed anywhere in a plot range. When alarm receives notification about any action, it emits certain redstone signal power. If you use comparator, then you’ll be able to get distance how far it happened. If near, comparator will give 15 redstone power. If far, it will emit 1.
Yes, you can place multiple alarms within one plot and they all will get notifications.

Notify Action Redstone Signal
use 1
block place 2
block break 3
farmland trample 4
player attacks player 5
player attacks mob 6
clicker use 7
explosion 10
plot break 15

Clicker

This tool allows you to open chests, doors and click buttons on claimed terrain. By default, it has only 15 uses and 30 seconds of cooldown.

To use it, just hold it in hand and click on anything you want to use or open.
